„Unknown Origin“
A Destiny inspired 3D Model
Using the design of the existing weapon „Hawkmoon“ from Destiny 2 and the style of the in-world manufacturer „Veist“ I have created a design that combines the best of both worlds.
The weapon
Being a „Veist“ weapon it of course inherits the „Veist Stinger“ origin trait found on most „Veist“ guns. This perk randomly reloads the magazine on precision hits allowing for higher-than-average „damage per second“. As an exotic, it comes with the exotic perk „Poisonous Edge“ which applies poison damage each time the „Veist Stinger“ origin trait activates.
The Lore
Found in a long abandoned weapon factory, the „Unknown Origin“ is the first-ever „Veist“ handcanon. Compared to other guns from this manufacturer, there are no prior entries pointing to the origin of the gun.
„I have never seen this before… maybe I forgot…“ – Banshee-44
The design
Combining the aggressive design of the „Hawkmoon“ and the idea of the „Veist Stinger“ origin trade from the game I ended up with a design that keeps the original flare of the gun but is original in its own right.
Industrial Design
A GPU inspired by the Nvidia 40 Series Cards
Based on the common GPU designs from the „RTX 40 Series“, this 3D Model features a triple fan design with a fully modelled heatsink and pcb.
The Modularity
Each part of the 3D model has been modelled as an individual object in order to maximize customization and reusability. Only need the PCB? Simply toggle off or remove the other parts of the model and edit or expand the 3D model to your liking.
The Functionality
While I am by no means an engineer, this GPU was still designed with theoretical functionality in mind. Parts like the heatsink have been designed in a way that would not only look good but also contribute to cooling.
The PCB
The 3D model features a fully modelled PCB based on the RTX 4090 with the individual components such as the GPU-die, Memory and more.
